The V-Lifting: Rejuvenate with absorbable threads
The V-Lifting involves inserting very fine tensor threads in targeted areas under the dermis by following certain tension axes. This dense network promotes the production of collagen.
Use of smooth sutures to regenerate the dermis and thoroughly re-densify the skin (V-Lift meso) :
- Filling frown lines, the nasolabial folds and marionette lines
- Reducing wrinkles under the lower eyelids
- Smoothing the fine lines on the upper lip
- Smoothing out the neckline
Using barbed sutures to lift the slightly loose skin tissue (Premium V-Lift) :
- Raising the tail of the eyebrow on the forehead
- Repositioning the cheekbones
- Retightening the jowls
- Redrawing the facial contours
- Treating moderate sagging skin of the arms, abdomen or thigh
The course of the session
Having cleansed and disinfected the area to be treated, the practitioner applies a numbing cream. Then the threads are inserted into the subcutaneous tissue, introduced and positioned at the extraction of the needle or cannula.
These are threads in Polydioxanone (PDO), an absorbable material used in heart surgery for more than fifty years to achieve the sutures. Unlike other threads techniques, including gold threads, they are completely resorbable and gradually disappear after six to eight months. No allergy, no rejection or side effects.
For a comprehensive treatment of aging, there are two types of threads: smooth and serrated. During the same session, one can combine the two techniques according to the indication being treated.
The V-Lift Meso technique
The doctor uses simple smooth sutures. He inserts the needle into the dermis, under a local anaesthetic to establish a grid with the sutures on the area to be treated. The sutures are positioned in the skin at the time of extracting each needle and remain in situ.
The V-Lift Premium technique
This method is used to barbed thread. He inserts the needle into the dermis, under a local anaesthetic, and brings out the suture at the opposite point. He then forms a loop with both ends. The he pulls
After the procedure
The patient can return to work immediately. There is oedema which fades after 3 to 4 days. A certain amount of bruising can also appear in some people. It disappears after 7 to 8 days and can be masked by foundation makeup. The facial contours are slightly painful to the touch for about 1 week.
The skin is less wrinkled and benefits from a lifting effect. The presence of the sutures in the body generates a local inflammation and tissue fibrosis. To regenerate the dermis, the skin then stimulates the production of new collagen for 6 to 8 months, the time it takes for the sutures to reabsorb. The effects, which are immediately visible, are progressive and become optimal 1 to 2 months after the treatment.
The result lasts for between 12 and 18 months. The majority of patients renew the treatment after 15 months.
